He is at his private practice office currently Monday through Friday.  He sees individual clients from age 16 to 80 or so and  couples who are not in the depths of crisis.

Professionals eager to learn more about or improve their application of cognitive-behavioral therapy also meet with him in person or over the phone for consultation. He has provided such consultation for people from Hong Kong, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and various cities in the United States.

With almost 30 years experience as a psychotherapist, and as a graduate of Hahnemann University (now incorporated into Drexel) specializing in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Dr. Kuehlwein currently serves as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are depression, anxiety of various kinds, anger management, self-esteem, communication, milder substance abuse, milder couples issues, stress management, as well as procrastination and avoidance.  

In addition to being a well known therapist, Dr. Kuehlwein has presented at both national and international conferences as well as given numerous local workshops on the topics of applying CBT to self-esteem issues, insomnia, anxiety disorders, and gay/lesbian/bisexual client concerns. 

Dr. Kuehlwein is an interactive, practically-focused therapist. His therapeutic approach is to explore new perspectives and skills with clients, and to provide support, understanding and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges, stresses, and problems. He integrates various methodologies, techniques, and humor to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
